Tourism Fiji Hosts Bulanaire Information Sessions with Tourism Industry partners Across Fiji

Nadi, 6 February 2020 – A team from Tourism Fiji met with tourism partners and stakeholders in Suva and Pacific Harbour earlier this week to talk about its signature campaign for 2020; Bulanaires. Today (Thursday) a team will be visiting industry partners in the Coral Coast and the Suncoast (Rakiraki) and later this week – Denarau in Nadi and Savusavu.

These Bulanaire information sessions ensure industry partners are well informed of the program and are supported in nominating their staff and frontliners for inclusion in the program.

Tourism Fiji Niche Experiences Manager, Mr. James Pridgeon was part of the team that hosted the Pacific Harbour and Suva information sessions. He said, “Our objective was to present to our industry what Phase Two of our Bulanaires campaign entailed. At the same time, we listened to ideas from our stakeholders and encouraged those who have not nominated their Bulanaires as well.”

Phase two of the campaign began in November last year and this year’s program has been extended to Fiji’s tourism operators to nominate a member of their team to become a Bulanaire and participate directly in the campaign.

Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Mr. Matthew Stoeckel said, “Bulanaires is a program that we know resounds across our markets. Its message is about sharing happiness with others, which is more relevant than ever in our markets. This campaign is a great opportunity for us to bring the ‘Bula Spirit’ to life and show the world why Fiji is where happiness finds you.”

The Bulanaires will work with Tourism Fiji to help share the ‘Bula Spirit’ with the world and reinforce why Fiji is the place where happiness finds you. Nominations are still open to tourism partners and stakeholders and we encourage them to visit www.fiji.travel/bulanaires for more information.
