A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LOW LYING AREAS, SMALL STREAMS FOR VANUA LEVU, NORTHERN AND WESTERN PARTS OF VITI LEVU AND NOW IN FORCE FOR THE LOW LYING AREAS, SMALL STREAMS AND DOWNSTREAM OF VATUKACEVACEVA STATION TO RAKIRAKI TOWN; AND NOW IN FORCE FOR THE LOW LYING AREAS, SMALL STREAMS AND DOWNSTREAM OF NASIVI STATION TO TAVUA TOWN.

LEVEL AT VATUKACEVACEVA STATION WAS 0.78M AT 3PM WHICH IS 0.22M BELOW ALERT LEVEL.
LEVEL AT NASIVI STATION WAS 1.29M AT 3PM WHICH IS 1.2M BELOW ALERT LEVEL.

SITUATION
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE LIES SLOW MOVING OVER FIJI. MEANWHILE, TROPICAL DEPRESSION 08F LIES SLOW MOVING JUST TO THE SOUTH OF FIJI AND IS SLOWLY MOVING SOUTH.
ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL DISTURBANCE, TD07F, CURRENTLY TO THE FAR WEST-NORTHWEST OF FIJI NEAR VANUATU IS EXPECTED TO MOVE TOWARDS FIJI AND MAY GRADUALLY INTENSIFY INTO A DEPRESSION AND POSSIBLY AFFECT THE GROUP FROM TONIGHT.
