Villagers treat tourists to traditional food, merrymaking

Fiji Times Friday 08 September 2017  IT was Constitution Day with a difference for villagers of Colo-i-Suva in Naitasiri yesterday as they hosted more than 200 tourists as part of their eco-tourism project.

As part of the activities provided by the village, tourists were served kava and lovo (food cooked in earth oven) and were entertained with traditional chants by the villagers.

New Zealand couple Constantin and Adriana Enache said their visit to Fiji could not have been better than experiencing the Fijian way of life in a village setting.
