Port Denarau Marina’s Port Of Entry Status Boosts Superyacht Business

Fiji Sun Monday 31 July 2017  The transition of Port Denarau Marina from a Sufferance Port to a full Port of Entry is a big boost for the yachting industry, says New Zealand Marine Industry Association Executive Director Peter Busfield.

Mr Busfield is a member of the South Pacific Superyachting Group.

Member countries Fiji, Tahiti, Australia and New Zealand promote the South Pacific as one cohesive Superyacht destination.

He said: “The announcement by the Fijian Government during the National Budget announcement is a real bonus for Port Denarau.

“It is well set up with the Marina and the services for visiting yachts.

“It will also make it easier for more yachts to come to Fiji because there are more opportunities for clearance.”  Read more…
