Second Consultation on the Fijian Tourism 2021 Plan (FT2021)

Bula Vinaka

The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MITT) will be conducting its second Consultation on the draft Fijian Tourism 2021 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort, Nadi on Thursday 23 February 2017.

Tourism is the cornerstone of the Fijian economy and is moving into a more complex phase of its development, requiring greater coordination amongst stakeholders, to ensure the potential of the sector is fully optimized.

The first round of Consultations was successfully completed this week (Thursday 16 February) in Suva involving key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.

Your participation in this consultation process is critical for the FT2021 plan to be a comprehensive and holistic document that represents the views of all sectors in the Tourism Industry.

Attached herewith is the Consultation Programme and FT2021 Strategies Summary for your perusal, and we also request for a confirmation of attendance or that of a senior representative, by C.O.B Tuesday 21 February 2017, to Ms. Amrita Nand via email: amrita.nand@govnet.gov.fj.

For any further clarifications can be directed to Ms. Alanieta Blakelock on email: alanieta.blakelock@govnet.gov.fj or phone contact: 3212652

Your support on the above is much appreciated.

Regards,

Tourism Unit
