The Health & Safety at Work (Training) Regulations 1997 requires basic training for managers, supervisors and workers.
· Promotes productivity and training efficiency for the organization
· Promote awareness on health and safety in the workplace
· Compliance to government OHS legislations and policies
· Learners receive certification based on training days attended.
FHTA has also developed a template SMS document that members can adopt and participants are encouraged to utilise the OHS training to ensure that the documentation requirements are understood and implemented effectively. You may download the template Safety Management System document here.
The Association recommends that members attend these awareness sessions and send senior members of their HR teams to ensure business understand the amendments & implications.
