New Head of Tourism & Corporate, West

BSP is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Maikash Ali as its Head of Tourism and Corporate Banking – West. He joins the Bank’s Senior Management team bringing with him over 30 years of professional banking experience in Fiji and overseas.

He joined ANZ in 1988 and held various positions including senior management roles such as the Head of Tourism and Regional Executive West.  Ali’s key focus will be overseeing the bank’s west based corporate & international team and leading BSP’s expansion into the Tourism sector.

He was employed with ANZ in Auckland, New Zealand until last year where he left after holding the post of Senior Relationship Manager and was part of the Senior Leadership Group.

Maikash was born in Ba and grew up in Tavua before going to New Zealand in 1988 for studies where he graduated from the Auckland University. He is involved in philanthropic causes including being a Trustee of the Friends of Fiji Heart Foundation.

Mr Maikash Ali was delighted to join BSP and said “I have been watching BSP grow over the last 10 years and am proud to join the green team.  I am excited about the opportunity and look forward to working with the team to grow the business further.”

He is the proud husband of Pravina Ali and father to Azarish Ali and Zonal Ali. He enjoys fishing, cooking, gardening and networking outside of work.
