Fiji Times Saturday 08 April 2017 SOFITEL Fiji Resort and Spa is continuing to recruit Chinese speaking staff as a strategy to attract a slice of China’s growing outbound tourist market.
Yesterday the resort announced the appointment of its first Chinese guest relations officer, Lynn Tian.
The boom in Chinese travellers worldwide has also caused the resort to make a few changes in its operations — such as improving its in-room Chinese amenities and expanding the Chinese breakfast and dinner meal offerings.
Resort general manager Alan Burrows said it was impossible to ignore the Chinese outbound tourism figures. More than 100 million Chinese travelled abroad last year. Read more…
