Childhood cancer fundraiser encourages colleagues to shave their heads if the fundraising target is met and all funds raised will be used for childhood cancer support.
22nd November 2023 (Natadola, Fiji): FNPF-owned IHG Fiji Hotels, comprising InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel, and Holiday Inn Suva, are delighted to announce that through a SHAVE IT OR SAVE IT campaign in October 2023, 19 team members have raised FJ$50,000 for WOWS Kids Fiji. This exceeded the initial fundraising target of FJ$40,000.
Participants of the fundraising campaign included the Executive Committee, senior leadership and team members, who passionately raised funds to make a difference. The campaign featured a diverse group colleagues, including three inspiring female participants, who were determined to raise funds for WOWS Kids Fiji and create awareness for children who suffer from cancer and their families.

Two shave-off events took place simultaneously at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa and Holiday Inn Suva at 8:30 AM on Wednesday 8th November 2023. Colleagues, families and local business partners attended the events and watched the 19 participants keep their promise to shave their heads if the target was met.
Two kids from WOWS Kids Fiji also attended each event along with their parents and actively participated in the shave-off, demonstrating unity and solidarity for those who suffer from cancer. The SHAVE IT OR SAVE IT campaign continues to highlight the power of collective efforts and community support in the tourism sector. The funds raised will contribute significantly to WOWS Kids Fiji’s mission of supporting families with children living with cancer and raising awareness of child cancer issues in Fiji.
