Fiji Times Thursday 07 September 2017 THE Fiji Sports Council and Fiji Chamber of Commerce and Industries are proposing to turn Nadi into a sports hub aimed at promoting sports tourism.
While speaking at the recent Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industries annual general meeting, Fiji Sports Council chairperson and FCCI president Peter Mazey said they had met several developers of the proposed sports hub that would be built in Nadi.
He said Nadi was an ideal urban centre to have a sports hub as it also was home to many resorts that could cater for a large number of people.
“The proposed sports hub will include a stadium and an indoor arena,” he said.
“Tourism is growing and we had a 5 per cent growth in July which is great, and one of the things that we have to be different and Government has been talking about how we must look for new markets and we all agree that this is something that we could look into. Read more…
