27 February 2025: General Manager of Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort and Spa Mr Shaun Parsons, has been honoured with the prestigious New Hotel Impact Award at the inaugural EAPAC Impact Awards Gala Dinner, held in Bali during the 2025 EAPAC GM Conference.
The awards celebrate exceptional leaders and teams across IHG Hotels & Resorts in East Asia & the Pacific.
The New Hotel Impact Award recognises a leader who has successfully delivered an outstanding new hotel opening by demonstrating leadership, resilience and fostering outstanding teamwork.
Parsons’ experience and expertise spanning over 20 years in the hospitality industry, including nearly two decades spearheading resorts across APAC and the Middle East ensured an outstanding multi-phase opening and impressive financial results including multiple resort buy outs.
Expressing his gratitude, Shaun Parsons, stated “I am truly honoured to receive this award. It is a testament to the incredible teamwork, dedication, and passion of the entire high performing team. Since its opening on February 1st, 2024, Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa has welcomed over 125,000 guests—more than one in ten visitors to Fiji. Guests have experienced outstanding service, dined at nine diverse restaurants, relaxed in five swimming pools, and enjoyed vibrant entertainment at three bars, including Fiji’s first European-style beach club, Urban Sugar. The resort offers premium accommodation, including spacious rooms, family suites, and 2 newly added premium wings featuring rooms with direct pool access.
This award marks another milestone for Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, having already been recognised as a Winner for New Hotel – New Zealand and Pacific and Highly Commended for Fijian Upscale Resort at HM Awards and a finalist for Luxury Accommodation at the Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.
