Fiji Times Tuesday 28 March 2017 TRAVEL Counsellors Australia managing director David Hughes says their travel agents must take part in as many familiarisation tours as they can in order to become better agents.
“Nothing beats first-hand experience of a destination, hotel or tour operator. That is why we encourage Travel Counsellors to travel as much as they can to become better agents,” Mr Hughes said.
“Leaving their business to travel is sometimes a concern and that is why we employ several travel industry professionals to keep Travel Counsellors’ individual businesses ticking over while they are away.”
He said knowing that their clients were being looked after while they travelled made for a more productive trip and smoother landing.
Mr Hughes made the comment after a group of Travel Counsellors Australia agents recently experienced Fiji on a familiarisation trip known as the Matai Mega Famil. Read more…
