Total earnings from tourism this year was expected to be around $2.08 billion, compared to $1.92 bn in 2017.
This is an increase of eight per cent and at the same time highlights tourism’s contribution to the GDP this year at around 34.3 per cent, according to the provisional figures released by Macro-Tech Committee.
This was revealed yesterday by the Permanent Secretary for Industry, Trade and Tourism Shaheen Ali during the 2018 Tourism Fiji Industry Day at the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa at Natadola Bay.Read more…
