Fiji Times Tuesday 14 March 2017 FIFTY-ONE people from around Suva including key tourist operators and stakeholders attended a Suva Destination Marketing Workshop at the Grand Pacific Hotel on Wednesday last week to hold preliminary discussions on making Suva a tourist destination.

The workshop was organised by Market Development Facility (MDF), an organisation funded by the Australian Government, whose focus in the tourism sector is the development of new and emerging tourism destinations in Fiji.

During the workshop Destination Marketing Organisation (DMO) consultant Albert Stafford divided the participants into six groups and asked each group to come up with a SWOT analysis on the existing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in making Suva a tourism destination.  Read more…
