SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER ONE HUNDRED ONE FOR FLOOD ISSUED FROM RSMC NADI AT 3.30PM ON FRIDAY THE 17th OF FEBRUARY 2017

FLOOD ALERT

A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LOW LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS ADJACENT TO RAKIRAKI TOWN AND DOWNSTREAM OF RAKIRAKI STATION.

A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LOW LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS ADJACENT TO OTHER MAJOR RIVERS FOR THE WESTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU AND NORTHERN PARTS OF VANUA LEVU.

SITUATION

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE LIES SLOW MOVING JUST TO THE NORTH OF FIJI. ASSOCIATED ACTIVE RAIN BANDS CONTINUES TO AFFECT THE NORTHERN PARTS OF THE GROUP.

A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR WESTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, NORTHERN PARTS OF VANUA LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP
