SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER NINETY FOUR FOR HEAVY RAIN ISSUED FROM RSMC NADI AT 2.00PM ON THURSDAY THE 16TH OF FEBRUARY, 2017.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING: A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE WHOLE OF FIJI.

SITUATION: AN ACTIVE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WITH ASSOCIATED CLOUD AND RAIN REMAINS SLOW MOVING OVER FIJI.

FOR VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS,WESTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP AND NORTHERN LAU GROUP: PERIODS OF RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.

FOR THE REST OF FIJI: OCCASIONAL RAIN AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, BECOMING FREQUENT AND HEAVY AT TIMES WITH SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING. LOCALISED HEAVY RAIN MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
