HEAVY RAIN WARNING
A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR NORTHERN AND EASTERN PARTS OF VITI LEVU, YASAWA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP AND IS NOW IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI.
SITUATION:
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE REMAINS SLOW MOVING OVER THE EASTERN PARTS OF FIJI. MEANWHILE, AN ACTIVE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WITH ASSOCIATED CLOUD AND RAIN IS GRADUALLY MOVING ONTO THE GROUP FROM THE NORTH.
FOR NORTHERN AND EASTERN PARTS OF VITI LEVU, YASAWA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP: PERIODS OF RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
FOR THE REST OF FIJI: CLOUDY PERIODS WITH SOME SHOWERS. SHOWERS INCREASING TO RAIN, BECOMING FREQUENT AND HEAVY AT TIMES FROM TONIGHT. LOCALISED HEAVY RAIN MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
