The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji are the avid sponsors of the Nadi Blazers Women’s Rugby team travelling polo’s and training vests once again. The resort reaffirmed its ongoing support to the Nadi Blazers team with the Official Presentation of polo shirts and training vests which have been used since 2015.
With the team looking smart in their branded apparel supplied by the resort, the official presentation took place at the hotel lobby with the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji Management team while the Nadi Blazers members were treated to light refreshments.
“The Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, is such a wonderful organization whom are very supportive of our local community and because of their ongoing support, they enable our women rugby players to be able to represent the Nadi & Western region with pride both on the field and off”, says Lailanie Burnes, Team Captain for the Nadi Blazers.
“As rugby is a male dominated sport one of the biggest obstacles women rugby players face is the lack of financial support at an institutional level unlike our male counterparts whose clubs generally are well supported. So for such a large organization as the Radisson Blu to go against the grain of normality to support our women ruggers to play the sport that they love is simply wonderful”, says Lailanie Burnes.
The Nadi Blazers are looking forward to a great season ahead where they will be participating in all major tournaments in the country in addition to defending their title as the reigning premiers of the Samoan Independence Day 7s.
