In response, Public Enterprises Ministry’s permanent secretary, Jitendra Singh, said the review of the Public Enterprises Act 1996 commenced again in 2016 because of some delays in their work. “We are working closely with the Asian Development Bank’s Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD) and the Office of the Solicitor-General now on the review of this Act……”and the final draft of the Public Enterprise Bill is almost ready…” Mr Singh said.
