Fiji Village Friday 26 May 2017 The inaugural Pacific Island Resort Show is testimony that fashion can also bring cultures together.
This was the comment made by Managing Director Ellen Whippy Knight at last night’s Fiji Fashion Week, Pacific Island Resort Show that showcased twenty designers and brought together 13 Pacific Island Nations.
She says that Fiji Fashion Weeks 10 years of fashion has brought many International Designers to our shores, emerging and established designers alongside our own Fijian designers.
Representing Guam, Sandrine Cruz Stewart is an established designer and last night showcased her collection.
She says that she developed her style of clothing through life experiences and gathering an understanding of quality when she grew up in Europe and the Caribbean.
The Pacific Island Resort Show last night also showcased designs from New Zealand, Solomon Islands, PNG Cook Islands, Fiji, Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, New Caledonia and Tahiti. Read more…
