Fiji Sun Wednesday 24 May 2017 Port Denarau Marina Fiji is the first Fish Friendly Marina accreditation in the South Pacific. The accreditation represents a significant milestone in the development of the global marina industry.
Fiji Marina was accredited by the Marina Industries Association.
Its President Andrew Chapman said the marina is setting the benchmark for others to follow.
He added that the marina is in an emerging and strong marina growth region.
What is also pleasing is that the marina using the Clean Marina programme guidelines as an environmental template to upgrade facilities and services and for the environmental education of its clients and community, says Mr Chapman.
Port Denarau Marina is the largest marina in Fiji and provides for both commercial and recreational boats. The marina achieved Level 3 Clean Marina accreditation as well as the additional Fish Friendly accreditation. Read more…
