Fiji Times 12 October 2020 – 195 staff of the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort are currently employed due to local tourism with most of them working for five days a week.
General Manager Darren Shaw says many staff work in different fields such as grounds and landscaping during the weekdays and spend the weekend doing other work such as housekeeping.
Shaw says the “Love Our Locals” campaign has been a great success so far and has been critical in providing employment for a number of workers in the industry as well as providing locals with heavily discounted offers for high-quality accommodation and services.
