Marriott International Appoints Market Director of HR

Nadi, Fiji – XX May 2026 – Marriott International has announced the appointment of Regina Kumar as Market Director of Human Resources for the Marriott Fiji portfolio of hotels, effective 1 June 2026. Kumar will be based at Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Denarau Island.

With more than 25 years of experience across Marriott Fiji properties, Kumar brings extensive expertise in human resources leadership, workforce development and associate engagement. Her career with Marriott International has spanned operations, sales and people-focused leadership roles, providing a well-rounded understanding of the hospitality industry and the evolving needs of hotel teams across the region.

Kumar began her career in Front Office operations before progressing into Sales and later transitioning into Human Resources as Assistant Director of Human Resources at Sheraton and Westin Resorts Fiji. Most recently, she served as Director of Human Resources at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, where she played a key role in leading post-pandemic workforce rebuild initiatives and implementing people strategies that enhanced engagement, retention and operational performance.

In her new role, Kumar will support the Marriott Fiji portfolio across people and culture initiatives, talent development and brand alignment, while continuing to foster Fiji’s renowned spirit of hospitality across the organisation.
