The Blue Swan Daily, 10 July 2018 – China‘s Ambassador to Fiji Qian Bo said he expects the launch of more direct services between China and Fiji to help attract Chinese tourists (SPTO, 09-Jul-2018). He noted the only direct connection between greater China and Fiji is Fiji Airways‘ Nadi-Hong Kong service. Mr Qian noted China is Fiji’s largest investor and fourth largest trading partner and commented: “All countries are trying to attract the Chinese because they have seen that Chinese spend the most compared to the visitors from other countries”.
