Fiji Sun Thursday 30 March 2017 Originally from Italy but born and bred in Germany, Silvano Dressino now consider Fiji, home.
The General Manager for Fiji Marriott Resort, Momi Bay, said he was always passionate about working in the hospitality business from a young age. His parents owned an ice-cream and coffee shop.
“I did my apprenticeship in Frankfurt and started as the bell-boy. And I always appreciate people who work behind the scenes,” he said.
Mr Dressino joined Marriott as a marketing and communication officer in 1996. Having served in different countries, it made him understand the cultures and sensitivity of each one.
His first General Manager role started in Shanghai, China. Read more…
