InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, the award-winning luxury resort on Fiji’s mainland, is proud to announce the appointment of two talented, local professionals to its sales team.
Sariza Shafique joins as the Director of Sales – Luxury & Leisure, whilst Walter Alexander has been appointed Director of Sales – MICE & Weddings.
Sariza Shafique brings over six years of experience in proactive and reactive sales within international hotel chains. She will be responsible for driving sales performance, expanding market share in luxury travel, and cultivating strong relationships with global consortia partners and luxury travel advisors. Sariza has previously held sales roles at Grand Pacific Hotel and across diverse industries in Suva.
Walter Alexander brings over 15 years of tourism experience, primarily in Groups & Events, including well-rounded expertise gained from working with prominent stakeholders in the Fijian tourism industry. For the past five years, Walter excelled as a Sales Manager within international hotel chains, specialising in MICE from Australia and New Zealand.
As the Director of Sales – MICE & Weddings at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Walter will spearhead sales performance in these key segments while collaborating closely with the team to develop and execute the resort’s group sales strategy for the upcoming years.
