Indian Government’s Continued Support For Fiji’s Micro And Small Businesses

Fiji Sun, 14 September 2017 – The Government of the Republic of India had committed to assist Fiji’s MSME sector with US$5 million (FJ$10.10m) pledged by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during his state visit to Fiji in November 2014.

In honouring its commitment towards developing Fiji’s MSME sector, the Government of India and the Fijian Government signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) which to date facilitated the release of FJ$4.085 million.

This support was further boosted with an additional FJ$0.58 million that was presented yesterday to the Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources, Faiyaz Koya by the Indian High Commissioner to Fiji, Vishwas Sapkal. Read more…
