Nadi, Fiji – 09th March 2026 – Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa is proud to announce the promotion of Ashim Singh to Executive Chef, recognising his outstanding leadership, culinary expertise, and contributions to the resort’s food and beverage experience. With this promotion, Singh becomes the first Fijian to hold the position of Executive Chef at the resort, marking an important milestone in Hilton Fiji’s commitment to developing local talent.
Having joined the resort in 2024 as Executive Sous Chef, Singh has played a pivotal role in strengthening the culinary operations and enhancing the dining experiences across the resort’s restaurants and outlets.
In his new role as Executive Chef, Singh will lead the resort’s culinary team, oversee menu innovation and kitchen operations, and continue to elevate the culinary vision across the resort’s beachfront restaurants, the Deli, and in-room dining.
Born and raised in Fiji, Singh brings a wealth of international culinary experience combined with a deep appreciation for local ingredients and flavours. His career spans Fiji, Rarotonga, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, where he has held leadership positions across five-star hotels, resorts, and restaurants. Singh is also a decorated chef, having been awarded “Chef of the Capital” at the Wellington Culinary Fair in New Zealand, and has had the honour of cooking for global dignitaries including the President of India, the Prime Minister of South Korea, and the former Prime Minister of New Zealand.

Singh’s culinary philosophy focuses on celebrating fresh local produce while delivering innovative dishes inspired by his international experience. His passion for creating memorable dining moments continues to shape the evolving culinary journey at the resort.
