Fijivillage.com, 20 December 2019 – Gas prices will increase from today after a determination by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission.
The price of a 13kg gas cylinder has increased from $34.21 to $37.46, a 12kg cylinder will now cost $34.58 from $31.58, the price of a 4.5kg cylinder has increased from $11.84 to $12.97, Auto Gas per litre will now cost $1.63 from $1.49 while bulk gas will now cost $2.43 per kg.
The FCCC says prices are mainly determined by the unfavourable movement in international prices for LPG products since the last review period.
They say Fiji is directly impacted by the world market prices for both refined oils and LPG and as such, any changes to the world market prices will be reflected in LPG prices in Fiji.…read more
