The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service have deferred the rollout of the New Tax Information System that was scheduled to start from this month.
Under the system, all taxpayers are to register online and perform their tax obligations online.
The Revenue and Customs Service says they have deferred this in a bid to ensure taxpayers are adequately familiar and comfortable with the new system.
Chief Executive Officer, Visvanath Das says they have reviewed the implementation process to ensure that there is sufficient awareness to customers so that they are familiar once the system goes live. Read more…
