Fiji Times Monday 04 September 2017  ABOUT 600 Air Terminal Services workers are preparing to cast their vote in a secret ballot this Wednesday, the result which could give their union representatives the mandate to take the necessary steps for strike action after negotiations with management fell through two weeks ago.

National Secretary of the Federated Airlines Staff Association Vilikesa Naulumatua said if more than 50 per cent of the workers give them the green light, the union would start taking the necessary steps towards fulfilling the mandatory requirements for strike action.

The industrial action, if it goes ahead, could have an impact on flights and cargo movement into and out of Nadi International Airport.  Read more…
