FNU Leadership Development Program

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association in conjunction with Fiji National University is inviting you to attend the “Leadership Development Program”.

FNU Leadership Development Program
FNU Leadership Development Program

The program is designed as an early career intervention for young managers considered to have demonstrated the potential to take on increased roles, responsibility and authority in the near future. Organisations wishing to maximise the benefits of this program are encouraged to send a team of 2-3 managers and supervisors to the program.

The program will be an intensive five-day program where participants will explore their strengths and development needs as managers, assess their effectiveness and consider new approaches in leading and managing teams, and learn to adopting a more strategic approach in their business roles. Each participant will work on a project that will be refined during the program and it is expected that they will seek to implement the same upon their return to their workplaces.

The program will utilise adult learning principles, and require commitment and immersion in the program on the part of participants. The program will involve individual reflections and self-assessment, group and team activity, dealing with a range of scenarios, and developing action plans. Participants should be reflected to maximise the benefits of this approach. We would encourage organisations to nominate a team of managers to the program to ensure greater support in efforts to transfer learning back to the workplace.
