Five-star resort reopens after $15m facelift

Fiji Times Thursday 02 March PREMIER tourist property Vomo Island Resort has once again begun operations after a period of closure after Tropical Cyclone Winston last year.

The five-star property was closed for six-and-a-half months for renovations before reopening last September.

General manager Mark Leslie said prior to Severe TC Winston, they had completed a $15 million renovation.

“Unfortunately, Severe TC Winston came through and basically destroyed that refurbishment, causing $21m in damage,” he said.

“We refurbished the whole property so everything is brand new for the second time in less than two years.  Read more…
