Fiji’s adventure capital

Fiji Times Friday 29 September 2017  Less than an hour’s drive from Suva is Fiji’s adventure capital, Pacific Harbour. The area lives up to its reputation as a spot for adrenaline junkies, offering a wide variety of activities to get your heart racing, from surfing and shark feeding to four-wheel-drive tours.

For a more laid-back experience try a round of golf on the championship course, or enjoy a spot of fishing. There’s a good range of accommodation types, from budget offerings to some of Fiji’s finest hotels, and plenty of dining options.

History

Pacific Harbour was originally developed in the 1970s as a canal residential subdivision offering an alternative lifestyle to urban dwellers. With a mix of locals and expats, Pacific Harbour now serves mainly as a destination for tourists with a focus on adventure.
