Silvano Dressino, the General Manager at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, expressed this alignment, stating, “One of our core values is to Serve Our World. We believe in making the
communities where we operate better places to live, work, and visit. Through this partnership, we are directly supporting the resilience and sustainable development of these communities as WSL’s return to Fiji is making a positive impact on the community. It is boosting the economy, creating jobs, fostering local pride, and promoting environmental conservation.”
Additionally, the WSL has collaborated closely with the Fiji Government, Tourism Fiji, and the local communities of Tabanivono I Wai (Nabila and Momi villages) to reconstruct the Cloudbreak judging tower that was demolished during Cyclone Harold in 2021. The rebuilding of the structure reflects WSL’s dedication to goodwill and support for the local communities.
“WSL is excited to partner with Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay for the upcoming 2024 Corona Fiji Pro,” said WSL APAC President Andrew Stark. “It is an incredible resort with stunning surroundings and is located only a stone’s throw from Cloudbreak, where the event will take place.
