Fiji Gateway Hotel is embarking on a major expansion to cater to the growing number of travelers passing through Nadi. Starting this month, the hotel will construct a two-storey accommodation block, adding 47 rooms to its current offerings. The project is slated for completion in October 2025.
This new addition will include 44 Deluxe Rooms and three spacious Two-Bedroom Suites, designed to accommodate both leisure and business guests. The Deluxe Rooms will feature a King bed and a fold-out sofa, while the Two-Bedroom Suites, furnished with two Queen beds, will cater to families, corporate clients, and conference attendees. All rooms will offer scenic rural views and modern amenities.
Lee Pearce, CEO of Raffe Hotels and Resorts, the parent company of Fiji Gateway Hotel, emphasized that this expansion will enhance the hotel’s appeal to a diverse range of visitors. The new building will be constructed on an unused part of the property, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing hotel operations.
Once completed, the hotel’s room capacity will increase from 95 to 135 rooms. Older rooms will be phased out in favor of modern landscaping and improved walkways, connecting the new wing to the main reception and dining areas.
Since opening in 1969, Fiji Gateway Hotel has remained a key player in Fijian hospitality, known for its prime location across from Nadi International Airport. The expansion underscores the hotel’s commitment to providing exceptional service while maintaining its signature “Bula Spirit.”
The hotel offers a range of amenities, including two swimming pools, a tennis court, gym, conference facilities, a boutique, mini day-spa, restaurant, bar, and poolside café, making it a popular choice for travelers and a convenient stopover near Nadi town and the airport.
