Nadi, Fiji, 3 June 2026: Fiji Airways has announced the reinstatement of direct services between Nadi and Nouméa, strengthening regional connectivity and creating new opportunities for tourism, business and travel across the Pacific.
The service will recommence from 22 September 2026 and will operate twice weekly, every Tuesday and Friday, aboard Fiji Link’s ATR 72-600 aircraft.
The return of the Nadi–Nouméa route will provide more than 10,000 additional seats annually between Fiji and New Caledonia, supporting visitor movement, trade links and people-to-people connections between the two Pacific destinations.
Fiji Airways Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Paul Scurrah welcomed the announcement, saying the reinstated service was an important addition to the airline’s regional network.
“New Caledonia is a stunning destination and an important market for Fiji Airways. Reinstating this service creates exciting new opportunities for travellers, whether visiting Fiji for our world-renowned hospitality or exploring the unique French Pacific culture of Nouméa,” Mr Scurrah said.
“With more than 10,000 additional seats opening up annually, this is a significant boost for tourism, trade and people-to-people connections across our region. We look forward to welcoming passengers on board.”
The reinstatement also strengthens an important regional corridor for the Pacific. Nouméa and Suva are home to several major intergovernmental and development organisations, with staff, delegates, consultants and partners travelling regularly across the region.
Fiji Airways said the route would support the connectivity needs of these organisations, as well as the broader professional, tourism and business communities that help keep the Pacific connected.
The Nadi–Nouméa service will also connect travellers to Fiji Airways’ wider international network, including onward connections across the Pacific, New Zealand, the United States and Canada.
The Nadi to Nouméa service, FJ291, will depart Nadi at 8.00am and arrive in Nouméa at 10.00am every Tuesday and Friday.
The Nouméa to Nadi service, FJ290, will depart Nouméa at 10.45am and arrive in Nadi at 2.45pm every Tuesday and Friday.
