In responding to feedback from the industry to put forward more workshops of this nature – and specifically targeted at executive management; the program has been designed to encourage interactive discussion based on precedent based examples with consideration to relevant subject matter and timing.
Most disputes take place because management in exercising their prerogative to manage (which is closely influenced by the cost of doing business) in their enthusiasm, often overlook workers’ rights. Quite often this comes back to haunt them when the aggrieved worker takes them through the dispute mechanism provided for them in the Employment Relations Act (ERA).
This workshop has been prepared especially for Executive Management who usually rely on HR to provide advice and guidance and provides critical awareness for how the ERA impacts the respective HR Policies and the contract of service between the worker and the employer.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Once a signed Registration Form has been received, any cancellation must be advised in writing to, and acknowledged by, the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA). Any cancellation made after the closing date will incur an administration fee of 50% of the total price.
