Employers not allowed to make deductions without permission

The Fiji Times, 04 October 2017 – Update: 5:22PM EMPLOYERS are not allowed to make any salary or wage deductions from any worker without their permission said Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Jone Usamate.

While conducting public consultation for members of the community in Nausori and Nasinu yesterday, Mr Usamate said the employer could not deduct more than fifty per cent  from the worker’s pay on any deduction. Read more…
