The objective of the Hotel Data Collection System is to ease the current reporting burden and implement a single, user friendly system. HDCS is an on-line application aimed at providing Government and the Tourism Industry with up-to-date tourism data, in a manner that is accurate, fast and reliable.

Moreover, the on-line application will become a central reporting facility for all accommodation properties covered under the Hotel Licensing Board to use.

In this regard, the purpose of the consultation is to inform accommodation properties of the proposed functions and operations of the system, whilst covering in detail the specifications of the online application.

Feedback from the accommodation properties during this consultation is critical in order to determine the level of practicality and whether the Ministry needs to make further adjustments to the on-line application.

Members are asked to confirm their attendance Directly to the Ministry by Friday 11 November. Due to limited space, they appreciate if one representative, preferably Management level to attend this Consultation.
