CEO of the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation, Nesbitt Hazelman says businesses continue to struggle with absenteeism of workers in Fiji and proper work ethics seems to be missing in non-productive workers.
Hazelman says despite a positive labour productivity report, a lot more needs to be done to improve productivity in all sectors of the workforce.
Hazelman says absenteeism is a big problem for the Fijian workforce.
Hazelman adds that the education system needs to improve so that graduates are prepared when they enter the workforce.
He says training graduates after they enter the workforce is costly for employers. Read more..
