Airlines sign agreement

Fiji Times Friday 04 August 2017  MORE Chinese visitors will have access to South Pacific destinations and vice versa, thanks to a new partnership between Hong Kong Airlines and Fiji Airways that was signed yesterday.

Under the new codeshare agreement, customers for both airlines will have increased connectivity between six major destinations in the South Pacific and Asia.

Hong Kong Airlines chief commercial officer Li Dianchun said the commencement of the partnership with Fiji Airways was good news for passengers on both airlines.

“Our passengers now have a new choice to enjoy the white sandy beaches and aesthetically pleasing islands of Fiji under an all-year-round sunny weather,” he said.

“We are excited to welcome more new friends from Fiji on board Hong Kong Airlines’ flights to explore the bustling contemporary city of Hong Kong which embodies the unique “east-meets-west” culture.”

As per the agreement, Hong Kong Airlines’ “HX” code will be placed on Fiji Airways’ flights between Hong Kong and Nadi, as well as Nadi and Auckland. At the same time, Fiji Airways will put its “FJ” code on Hong Kong Airlines’ flights between Hong Kong and Bangkok, Tokyo and Osaka.  Read more…
