The primary goal of the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association, as the representative of the tourism industry, is to safeguard, foster and advance the welfare of its members in the broader scope of the tourism sector. This includes extending guidance and backing on operational, regulatory and human resource issues, providing networking opportunities, facilitating upskilling programs, and offering recommendations on relevant laws and protocols that impact the revitalization and endurance of the hotel and tourism industry.
Active Members are licensed hotels and accommodation providers within Fiji. Any operator that is tourism related including diving expeditions, marinas and water sport operators are also categorized as an Active member and would fall under one of the following sub-Active levels;
- Dive Member
- Marine Member
Associate Members are business organizations within the general ambit of the tourist industry.
The FHTA Board decides on new membership applications based on the standard criteria in the Articles of Association.
