Fiji Sun Sunday 22 October 2017 The Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa was a benchmark for setting standards for service and innovation as Fiji emerged as a world-class tourism destination.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama said the resort has every reason to celebrate half a century of excellence in service.
Mr Bainimarama was chief guest at the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa yesterday.
“You have every reason to be proud of the benchmark you’ve set for our tourism industry, and I am certainly proud of your legacy.
“This beautiful property is far more than just a resort; it is a true piece of Fijian history. Since those early days, your resort has not only been a proud fixture of our tourism industry, it has been a shining example of what a business can achieve.”
– The Resort has grown from 108 rooms to 442.
– It is home to five restaurants, a spa, three pools and most recent addition – Fiji’s largest inflatable water park – all combined, these facilities makes the resort, the largest single hotel in Fiji. Read more…
