A HEAVY rain alert remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti Group, the eastern half and interior of Viti Levu.
According to the weather forecast issued by the Fiji Meteorological Service at 8:58pm last night, a trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Vanua Levu and is expected to drift south later today.
Associated cloud and showers affects the northern and eastern parts of the Group and is expected for the next few days. Read more:
