Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has launched a first handbook on Fabrication and Installation of grease traps.
This handbook contains information on fabrication, materials, sizing and manufacturing. It also outlines the installation process that includes; positioning, venting and piping, and also the maintenance of the grease traps and grease interceptors.
The policy document aims to facilitate the provision of an efficient and effective management system and mechanism for liquid trade waste discharge from industrial and commercial entities inclusive of waste tankers into the WAF wastewater facilities for the protection of the environment and human health.
