Visitor arrivals to Australia up 2% in Oct-2018, arrivals from New Zealand down 2%

Tourism Australia reported (17-Dec-2018) visitor arrivals to Australia for Oct-2018. Details include:

  • Visitor arrivals: 754,000, +1.7% year-on-year;
    • New Zealand: 137,100, -2.0%;
    • China: 101,300, +0.9%;
    • US: 61,700, +1.5%;
    • UK: 60,800, +4.6%;
    • Japan: 40,600, +16.3%;
    • Singapore: 35,500, stable;
    • Malaysia: 28,200, -6.9%;
    • India: 26,600, +10.4%;
    • Hong Kong: 22,700, +2.3%;
    • South Korea: 19,300, -30.8%.
