VAT monitoring system to ensure compliance

Fiji Times Thursday 15 June 2017  SUPERMARKETS and pharmacies that will be linked to the Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority system through the VAT monitoring system have to be fully compliant within the next six months.

Acting Prime Minister and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made the statement at the launch of VAT Monitoring System, Info Update Portal and MySay at FRCA headquarters in Suva yesterday.

Supermarkets and pharmacies in the country are the two first segments within the retail sector to have their cash registers linked to VMS which is directly linked to FRCA system.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the VMS software linked to cash registers would provide real time data to FRCA on total company sales and the amount of value added tax (VAT) collected.  Read more…
