Staff Appreciation Week at Hilton Fiji

Nadi, Fiji – 18th June 2024 – Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Fiji celebrate and recognize their team members in a week-long celebration. From June 9 – 15, 2024, as a yearly global initiative, all Hilton properties around the world were seen giving each other gifts and tokens of appreciation for each other’s hard work and dedication.

“It starts with you” was the theme of our 10th annual Team Member Appreciation Week (TMAW) – a time designed to show extra appreciation for our Team Members all around the world in Hilton Properties who deliver extraordinary hospitality experiences each and every day. Showing appreciation either big or small, just a simple gesture to make a large impact on those who we work with every day.

Carey Osborne, cluster general manager, Fiji, said, “This week was about appreciating and showing recognition to our team members in big and small ways and I am proud to be a part of this team,” Carey added. “Both properties had a full week of activities planned in which team members came together, spread the light and warmth of hospitality to each of our guests, communities and most importantly each other. At both properties, the weeklong celebration started with a welcome to work snack for team members as they arrived at the resort. Throughout the week, departments were seen giving gifts of tokens, hampers of food, singing for each other, ice cream exchanges, lolly leis and more fun daily activities to strengthen our bonds and showing gratitude. Hilton Fiji organised a cultural day where staff came in their ethnic cultural attire to celebrate their rich and diverse heritage and a market day where team members were able to share and showcase their creativity and talents.

DoubleTree promoted health, wellness and mutual support in hosting a Walk-a-Thon. The week long activities ended with Senior Leadership team serving a hot breakfast to all of the team at Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa and at DoubleTree a BBQ to bring everyone together. Finally, as part of the Hilton’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Corporate Social Responsibly program (Travel with Purpose) activity, meals were distributed to the homeless and less fortunate along the Nadi Town, Namaka and Lautoka areas by volunteers from the Hilton staff giving up their time to continue in sharing the light and warm of hospitality.
