A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL LOW LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS FOR VANUA LEVU AND TAVEUNI.

SITUATION
A DOMINANT MOIST NORTHWESTERLY WIND FLOW PREVAILS OVER FIJI WITH THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE JUST TO THE WEST OF THE COUNTRY.

MEANWHILE, TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 08F, [999HPA] WAS LOCATED ABOUT 21.3S 179.8W OR ABOUT 130KM WEST-SOUTHWEST OF ONO-I-LAU AT 3AM THIS MORNING. TD08F IS MOVING SOUTH AT ABOUT 10KM/HR AND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE MOVING SOUTH AWAY FROM FIJI.

ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL DISTURBANCE, TD07F, CURRENTLY TO THE FAR NORTHWEST OF FIJI, NEAR VANUATU, IS EXPECTED TO MOVE TOWARDS FIJI, GRADUALLY INTENSIFY INTO A DEPRESSION, AND POSSIBLY AFFECT THE GROUP FROM THURSDAY.
